Revel’s dam, Dianadea, was site champion at her AHS/VhW Inspection after which she spent some years competing as a show hunter. Her cheeky presence and elastic gaits contributed to wins in every under-saddle class. Nicknamed “The Mover,” Dea was a little less enthusiastic over fences–although she was always in the ribbons and even managed some wins before she was retired to breeding.
Dianadea's first foal, Pumina (by Pablo), sold as a weanling. Atail (by Arrian) was Reserve Young Horse Champion, USDF Northeast Breeders Championship 1999.
Revel was winner of the Yearling Fillies class at Lexington in 1999. She became an elite mare candidate in 2001, displaying in her mare performance test a jumping ability that was a decided improvement upon her mother’s.
In late May 2003, Marefield welcomed the third generation of this family to the farm when Revel gave birth to a large athletic filly by Arrian.
