Felicia (Florestan/SPS Allegra)
DOB: 5/8/2002
Felicia's sister, D'Allegra (Davignon), was highest-scoring Hanoverian in the US on the 2001 AHS/VhW Inspection Tour. A stallion rearer in the Netherlands purchased a brother by Antibes. The interesting blood from the father’s side also makes this feminine and typey filly an important addition for the future breeding program.

Folavril (Wanderbursch II/EM Daalny)
DOB: 4/1/2002
When Daalny was bred to Wanderbursch II for the Wendekreis and Thoroughbred blood he would bring to the match, we were hoping the resulting foal would be a filly. “Rill” didn’t disappoint. She now provides us with the first opportunity to carry the SPS Fabia motherline into the next generation.

Rara Avis (Rienzi/EM Windhover)
DOB: 6/23/2002
After many years off farm on lease, Windhover returned in the summer of 2002, bringing with her a gift in the form of this filly from our Rienzi breeding of the previous year. “Tory” is elegant, long-legged and a big mover. Before she came to Marefield, she had already been named reserve filly champion at her inspection. We look forward to having her carry her mother’s bloodline into the next generation.

Romy (Rienzi/EM Europa)
DOB: 5/7/2002
Romy’s dam comes from a strong motherline and we are pleased to have this carrier of Europa’s blood in the herd for the future. She is already maturing to be very much her mother’s daughter. We hope that a heritage of success will accompany this physical resemblance.

Selkie (Sandro Hit/SPS Bounty)
DOB: 4/26/2002
Selkie displays the good gaits and the rhythmic movement we have come to expect from her dam’s offspring. She is the half-sister of SPS Ranis, EM Regan and Rienzi. Grandam Lomella, full sister of Lanthan, is also grandam of the Champion Young Mare of the 2002 Ratje Niebuhr-Schau. Selkie’s sire, Sandro Hit, adds interesting blood and an impressive production record of his own to her outstanding motherline.

Solstice (Sandro Hit/SPS Wintersong)
DOB: 5/3/2002
Solstice's dam was Grand Champion, DAD as a yearling. Her half sister, EMC Decuma (Davignon), tied for the highest MPT score in the nation on the 2001 AHS/VhW Inspection Tour. Solstice is typey, leggy and she has displayed some excellent movement; the interesting blood from the sire's side is also a plus. She looks likes a “keeper” to carry the line of her grandam, EM Moira, into the next generation.
