The first filly to come from the proven match of Lorelei and Arrian, Andromache was “a keeper” from the moment she was born. In 2000, Dr. Jochen Wilkens named her best filly at her foal inspection. In 2003, she received an inspection score of 7 and earned a 7.33 in the MPT to become an EMC at the July 22 AHS/VhW Inspection held at Hilton Farm. Andromache also did well in breed shows last year, qualifying for the USDF/Cosequin Finals at Devon where she earned 75.85% for 7th place. At year-end, Andromache's average score of 75.40% ranked her 14th nationwide in the fillies division (weanling to 3-year-old) of the 2003 AHS Young Horse Breed Awards.
Diotima is the fourth of Fabia's four daughters who have been presented for inspection to achieve either the EMC (Daalny and Folie) or SPS (Deleila). Full brother, Dauphin, passed his performance test at Adelheidsdorf in the fall of 2002 and is now on lease to Celle. In 2003, Diotima qualified for the USDF/Cosequin Northeast Breeders Finals where she was named Res. Champ. Filly with a score of 80.8%. In the year-end USDF HOY Awards, she was Res. Champ. 3-year-old filly with 81.400%. Under the superb direction of rider/trainer Erin Sweeney, Diotima achieved a standing of 1st in the nation in the USDF 2003 Materiale Awards, 3-year-old fillies, with 81.00%. She also was ranked 2nd in the nation of all fillies in the 2003 AHS Breeding Division Awards.
Reese was made a special example by the judges at her foal inspection who asked the handler to keep running with the dam so the audience could see “just what it is we are looking for in the movement of these horses.” She was later called back and named “the best mover of the day” by Dr. Jochen Wilkens. Reese was presented at the July 22 AHS/VhW Hilton Farm Inspection where she earned 7.33 as her inspection score and a 7.05 in the MPT to become an EMC, joining older sister EMC Partita (by Pablo) in achieving that distinction.
Wranis earned a 2nd place in the large yearling fillies class, Devon 2001. In 2003, Wranis was again competed in breed shows. At year-end, she was ranked 5th nationally in the USDF Sport Horse Awards, 3-year-old fillies with a score of 77.400%. She also earned 6th place in the 2003 AHS Breeding Division Awards, Young Horse–Fillies. Wranis became an EMC in July of that same year when she received an inspection score of 7.16 and earned a 7.05 in the MPT at the AHS/VhW Inspection held at Hilton Farm.
We really like our Walt Disney mare, EM Wiccan, but she is small. When we wanted to try for some more Walt Disney influence in our breeding program, we chose leggy Priscilla as the likely candidate to cure the height problem. Wremy is the result of that experiment and she certainly is going to be tall enough. At the July 22, 2003 Hilton Farm AHS/VhW Inspection, Wremy received a 7.33 to become elite eligible. In November of that year, she qualified for the EMC at the MAHB Fall Mare Show MPT.
Ghabor (Gold Luck/Piper)
DOB: 4/5/2000
Ghabor was champion filly of her foal inspection and her huge elastic gaits are still breathtaking. Her Pablo daughter dam is owned by Mo Swanson who bred Ghabor. Piper, in turn, was bred by Marefield from EM Winterset. Ghabor represents the first example of a motherline we are continuing through a granddaughter rather than a direct daughter. Ghabor was presented at the July 22 AHS/VhW Inspection at Hilton Farm where she earned a 7.16 to become elite eligible. She will take her MPT at a later date.
Rani was named “best type” of her inspection by Dr. Jochen Wilkens–who allowed that she had good movement, too. She descends from a mare family that has been cited and recognized for type and charm. Grandam, SPS Grandella, great-grandam, SPS Wakonda, and great-great-grandam, SPS Wanessa, won the family prize at the 1992 Louis-Wiegels-Schau and walked away with the top prize from the Ratje Niebuhr-Schau two years later. Rani received from the AHS/VhW judging commission at Hilton Farm a 6.66 at her inspection and a 6.66 in the MPT and is now a Main Studbook mare.
